China's Super League Season Postponed Because Of Coronavirus - Sports

China has delayed the start of its domestic football season because of the escalation of the coronavirus, which has claimed at least 170 lives. The Super League, which features ex-Premier League players including Yaya Toure, Marouane Fellaini, Oscar, Marko Arnautovic and Salomon Rondon, was due to run from 22 February to 31 October. Supreme Court suspends hearing of Tambuwal, Ihedioha, four other govs appeals

The hearing of the appeals of Governors Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto and Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano States , including four other governors was suspended by the Supreme Court on Monday. Other governors, whose appeals were affected are Emeka Ihedioha (Imo ), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi ), Simon Lalong (Plateau ), and Samuel Ortom ( Benue) . Before the apex court in Abuja suspended the hearing of the governorship appeals from the six states , there was rowdiness and high noise level in the court . The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad , was also present in the court . Meanwhile , the Supreme Court has adjourned till Tuesday the hearing of 13 appeals filed in respect of the governorship tussles in six states . At least three persons have allegedly been killed in Oyo town following gunshots by security operatives after some people protested against the failure of the fire-fighters in the town to respond to a ravaging fire incident at Akesan Market. The fire, which started around 2:00 a.m., razed the market, leaving only a few shops and a filling station.
