Kemi Olunloyo stirred reactions after saying she wants to be the second female Alaafin of Oyo following the demise of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.  Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has made comments after getting double nominations in the 2022 Headies awards. The singer whose song, Zazuu Zeh has been accepted by many music fans on the streets was able to grab double nominations in the ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ and ‘Rookie of the Year’ categories. Interestingly, the first-time nominee, who hopes to win both awards has celebrated himself, stressing that he worked for it. Sokoto mob burns Christian student alive for allegedly criticising Prophet Mohammed

The body of Ms Deborah, Christian slain at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Wamako. Irate attackers in Sokoto have just roasted a Christian female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Wamako, witnesses told our correspondent The deceased, identified only as Ms Deborah, was accused of passing unflattering comments about Prophet Mohammed on campus. Following immediate threats to her safety, she was immediately evacuated to the security post of the school, according to a student who witnessed the development and passed its preliminary details to our correspondent. But the mob pursued her to the security post and overpowered the personnel there. The witness’ information has not been independently verified by our correspondent, but a video has already circulated online showing how the student was set alight.
