Twitter Honours Burna Boy Over Madison Square Garden Sold-Out Show

The music account of the social media app gave the African Giant a special recognition for his upcoming concert in New York. Nigerian iconic singer, songwriter, and performer, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has received special recognition from the global social media app Twitter in anticipation of his sold-out show in New York. The Grammy-award-winning singer will be performing at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York today 28th April 2022, after becoming the first African artist to sell out the twenty thousand plus capacity venue. To honour the Port-Harcourt-born singer, the verified account of Twitter's Music page (@twittermusic) has made the singer their banner picture, their profile info, as well added the Nigerian flag to their Twitter name. The Event will also be streamed live on YouTube from 2AM West African Time on Friday April 29th 2022.

Portable Speaks After Getting Double Nominations

 Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has made comments after getting double nominations in the 2022 Headies awards. The singer whose song, Zazuu Zeh has been accepted by many music fans on the streets was able to grab double nominations in the ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ and ‘Rookie of the Year’ categories. Interestingly, the first-time nominee, who hopes to win both awards has celebrated himself, stressing that he worked for it. Sokoto mob burns Christian student alive for allegedly criticising Prophet Mohammed

The deceased, identified only as Ms Deborah, was accused of passing unflattering comments about Prophet Mohammed on campus. The body of Ms Deborah, Christian slain at Shehu Shagari College of Education in Wamako. Irate attackers in Sokoto have just roasted a Christian female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education in Wamako, witnesses told our correspondent The deceased, identified only as Ms Deborah, was accused of passing unflattering comments about Prophet Mohammed on campus. Following immediate threats to her safety, she was immediately evacuated to the security post of the school, according to a student who witnessed the development and passed its preliminary details to our correspondent. But the mob pursued her to the security post and overpowered the personnel there. The witness’ information has not been independently verified by our correspondent, but a video has already circulated online showing how the student was set alight.
