Nigeria is made up of thirty-six states and each of the states has unique regions with the great historical antecedent. One of such region is Saki. Saki, a place in the heart of Oke-Ogun, is a town situated in the northern part of Oyo state, Nigeria. Saki is one of the most ancient towns in Yoruba land. Some historians had argued that Saki was founded by Ogun, the eldest son of Oduduwa and this explains why it was initially called Ile Ogun. The historical fact behind this was that Lamurudu, the father of Oduduwa and his followers migrated to Niger area Bussau from Egypt, this was as a result of religious crisis. Ogun was on a journey, when he discovered that Saki was a small village and it was just like a hunter’s camp. From Saki he went to Ibarapa, Lagos, Benin, Ife and again back to Saki. Saki, the ruling town of Ogun was taken temporarily as a seat of government of Yoruba kingdom. Saki was the first settlement of Ogun and there he ended his life. This is why people usually say, Ogun

 Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has made comments after getting double nominations in the 2022 Headies awards. The singer whose song, Zazuu Zeh has been accepted by many music fans on the streets was able to grab double nominations in the ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ and ‘Rookie of the Year’ categories. Interestingly, the first-time nominee, who hopes to win both awards has celebrated himself, stressing that he worked for it. Management of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) has announced that academic activities would resume today . Mr Bode Olofinmuagun, head, directorate of information and corporate affairs of the school made the disclosure in a statement he issued yesterday in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital. The management said it took the decision to resume  academic activities at its meeting yesterday. It stated that the meeting discussed the impact of the ongoing national strike by all the four staff unions as it affects the university vis a vis academic and other activities. American actress and director, Tasha Smith, has only praises for the Nigerian fashion scene after attending Saturday's Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards in Lagos. The actress and her twin sister, Sidra, went live on Instagram at the event. Sidra started off by saying, "Nigeria is not playing with fashion. These women are out here slaying." Following the gruesome murder of a Christian student for alleged blasphemy, and a riot that broke out in Sokoto State on Saturday, Governor Aminu Tambuwal, has imposed a 24-hour curfew on the people of the North-West state.
